Brimming with energy, charm, and talent, the virtuoso duo of Emma (17) and Jacob (13) (Taggart Squared) command the stage with their combination of music and dialogue. Winners of many competitions and awards, they have performed across the US and Europe. Emma, also an avid arranger, was the top prizewinner in the US International Duo Piano Competition, the Great Composers International Competition, and the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award (accompanied by a $10,000 scholarship), and many others. Jacob made his orchestral debut at age 7 with the Milan, Italy, Chamber Orchestra. At 9 he played with the Chamber Orchestra of St. Petersburg. The duo has played 6 feature concerts with the Minnesota Orchestra, playing Saint-Saens’ Carnival of the Animals, and have appeared twice on NPR’s From the Top. They won first place at the West Central Division of MTNA piano duo competition and have been invited to the national finals during the MTNA Conference in Spokane, WA. Jacob and Emma are joined in this concert by their younger sister Cecilia (7), who has appeared in many recitals and frequently joins her siblings in concert.
