Bethlehem Music Series

In a career spanning over 40 years, pianist Butch Thompson has earned a world-wide reputation as a traditional jazz and acclaimed ragtime master. He became one of the few non-New Orleanians to perform at Preservation Hall during the 1960’s and ’70’s. For many years he was featured regularly on the Prairie Home Companion show with his Butch Thompson Trio. Thompson makes rags sound fresh as the day they were written.
